What is R.E.D. Friday?

R.E.D Friday stands for Remember Everyone Deployed.  R.E.D. Friday came about to honor our military heroes.  It was set up as a  sign to help those deployed to know that people are thinking of them.  People across the United States wear red on Fridays to remind others of our deployed military heroes.  When I started tutoring for the ASVAB, I spent a  great deal of time mastering creating the lessons for my ASVAB prep course.  I focused on making sure I would be able to help my students with their ASVAB math and vocabulary skills.  In creating ASVAB lessons, I learned so much about the process of enlistment into the United States military.  I have learned so much about my former students’ journeys in serving our nation.  I have learned more than I could have imagined.  I see the patriotism that still exists in our nation and it makes my heart smile.  I have been able to learn about things like R.E.D. Friday where Americans work to encourage those deployed overseas.  Being one of America’s ASVAB tutors has given me even more pride in being part of America.  I am proud of my students, former, present and future alike who will make a   difference for our nation and our world by serving in the United States Military.
