As an ASVAB tutor, I meet students of varying levels of motivation. When I first began ASVAB tutoring many years ago, I used to think that I could tell who would be able to pass the exam by looking at their previous ASVAB score. Over the years in teaching an ASVAB prep course, I realize that determination means so much more than one’s current level. I have had students with very low ASVAB scores who refused to give up on themselves and went on to achieve their goals of enlisting. I have had students with scores pretty close to passing who just gave up on themselves and did not spend the time they needed studying. Determination is a powerful thing. Determination can help improve your ASVAB math score, vocabulary score, reading score, physical fitness levels. The list goes on. So be determined to learn, and do not let anyone stop you.
