Arithmetic Reasoning Test Taking Tip from the ASVAB Tutor
As an ASVAB tutor, I work to provide my students with help in both ASVAB math and verbal sections. In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure to discuss trap answers that exist on the test. I remind my students that if an answer looks correct before you even pick up your pencil and paper that it is most likely a trap. On the exam, if something looks too good to be true, it probably is. Do not expect to work on Arithmetic Reasoning without having to work out the answer. If an answer choice pops out at you as being right before you do any work, chances are that is the trap answer. Do not fall for it. Solve the problem and see what you end up with.
