Latin Root “carn”

In teaching my ASVAB prep course, I remind my students of the value of knowing Latin and Greek roots. I decided to write an ASVAB study guide to review vocabulary and reading comprehension entitled, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide.  I included charts for prefixes, root words, and suffixes in the book to help people to improve their vocabulary skills.  I focus most of my effort on providing help in ASVAB math, but I do not lose sight of the importance of building vocabulary skills in my students.  The root word for today is “carn”.  Do you know what the root word “carn” means?  Tomorrow I will share the answer.
