Today I am presenting the Greek root word “chrom”.  In my ASVAB prep course, I make sure to tell my students of the importance of Greek and Latin roots.  60% of English comes from Latin but a good percentage comes from Greek.  As an ASVAB tutor, I realize that knowing common Greek and Latin roots helps to boost the vocabulary score on the Word Knowledge section of the ASVAB.  Some people think that the ASVAB math sections are the only areas they need to focus on to help improve their ASVAB score.  I remind my students to make sure they review ASVAB vocabulary as well.  Never overlook the power of having a strong vocabulary for the Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension sections of the ASVAB.  Do you know what “chrom” means?  The answer will be posted tomorrow.
