Mathematics Knowledge

Yesterday I presented a question on angles.  Do you know which of the following is an acute angle?

  1. 30 degrees
  2. 90 degrees
  3. 120 degrees
  4. 180 degrees

As an ASVAB tutor, I make sure to review the different types of angles with the students in my ASVAB prep course.  My book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Mathematics Knowledge Study Guide has 15 subtopics.  One of the 15 subtopics is angles and slope.  I cover this subtopic in my video course and live course as well as the book.  It is important to know the measure of the different types of angles. An acute angle is an angle that is less than 90 degrees.  A right-angle measures 90 degrees.  An obtuse angle is bigger than 90 degrees and less than 180 degrees.  Did you know that an acute angle is any angle that is less than 90 degrees?
