People make excuses to avoid doing what they find difficult. Excuses lead to procrastination. Excuses lead to avoidance. Excuses limit our chances at success. We might think excuses make life easier, but in the long run they make life harder. As an ASVAB tutor, I meet students who make excuses. They make excuses as to why they did not study for the test. They say they were too busy. They say they had to work long hours. They say they only like to study the night before the exam. Excuses will not help them to achieve their goal of enlisting. They are only fooling themselves. The ASVAB does not understand excuses. If you do not prepare for the exam, you will not be ready. All the excuses in the world will not help you.
