Today’s quote is from H. Jackson Brown Jr. He was an American author, most known for his inspirational book, Life’s Little Instruction Book. This book was on The New York Times Bests Seller List from 1991-1994. He wrote a sequel, Life’s Little Instruction Book: Volume 2 which made The New York Times Best Seller List in 1993. He wrote many other inspirational books in his life. In today’s world, people often think that happiness comes from what we get. They seek material possessions, hoping to find their happiness in things. This is a mistake. True happiness is not found in what we get, but in what we give. As an educator and an ASVAB tutor, my greatest joy has been found in helping others. In teaching children to read and in helping ASVAB students to enlist in the military, I have experienced true joy. There is no possession I own that has given me the equivalent of the joy I feel when I have helped to change a life for the better.
