In working as an ASVAB tutor, I feel the need to encourage my students consistently. Too many people are discouraged by their low ASVAB scores. We cannot focus on our past failures. It is where we are going that counts. Sometimes we need to take the time to count our blessings in life. We need to stop comparing ourselves to others. I remind my students that we are all on a different journey. You are your own competition. Focus on your blessings. See how far you have come. Compare yourself to who you were yesterday. Each and every day, strive to raise yourself higher.
