Today’s quote is from Winston Churchill, former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom who led Britain on to victory in World War II. He emphasizes the importance of the difference between how we make a living versus how we make a life. He reminds us that we make a living by what we get or what we earn in life. He reinforces the idea that we make a life by what we give. Life is about making the world a better place. We need to make sure that we give. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I provide instruction in math and reading. I strive to do far more than simply provide instruction. I want to inspire people to not give up. I want to give people hope. I realize that people will not always remember what you say to them, but they will remember how you made them feel. I want to be a person who makes people feel they can achieve their goals and that each one of us has a purpose in life to pay forward all the goodness we have received in life.
