Motivational Quote from Winston Churchill
Success is not final, failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts. -Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951-1955. He is most remembered for leading Britain through World War II. His inspiring speeches and his unwillingness to surrender have made him famous. In today’s quote he reminds us that success is not final, and failure is not fatal and reminds us of the importance of courage. In saying success is not final, he is letting us know that we should not become too satisfied with our successes because they will not always last. Failure is not fatal reminds us that we can bounce back from failure with the right amount of courage and determination. Knowing that Churchill let his country through to victory in a world war make his words more powerful. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I work to remind my students not to dwell on their past failures. Instead, I remind them to focus on their plans to succeed in the future. Their determination, discipline, and hard work will lead them on to success.
