Dwight Eisenhower was the 34^th president of the United States from 1953 to 1961. He graduated from West Point and became an officer in the United States Army.  He served in World War I and World War II.  During World War to he was made a brigadier general and later a major general.  If anyone understands the power of pessimism and optimism in a battle it is Dwight Eisenhower.  This man served as an Army officer through two world wars and led America as president for 8 years.  He understands the power of the mind in overcoming adversity and tough times.  As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students to think positively.  I remind them of the importance of being optimistic in working toward their goals.  Nothing good can be achieved from a negative mindset.  Be positive and achieve positive things.
