Pessimism never won any battle. – Dwight Eisenhower
Dwight Eisenhower was the 34th president of the United States from 1953 to 1961. He graduated from West Point and became an officer in the United States Army. He served in World War I and World War II. During World War to he was made a brigadier general and later a major general. If anyone understands the power of pessimism and optimism in a battle it is Dwight Eisenhower. This man served as an Army officer through two world wars and led America as president for 8 years. He understands the power of the mind in overcoming adversity and tough times. As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students to think positively. I remind them of the importance of being optimistic in working toward their goals. Nothing good can be achieved from a negative mindset. Be positive and achieve positive things.
