Clint Eastwood is an American actor, film director, producer, and composer. He served in the U.S. army during the Korean War. In his quote, he reminds us of the importance of respecting ourselves and our efforts. He emphasizes the fact that self-respect leads to self-discipline. As an ASVAB tutor, I remind students of the importance of having self-respect. When students call themselves stupid, I remind them that I do not allow anyone to put themselves down in my class. I remind them that there are no dumb questions. Every question is an attempt to improve themselves which is something to be admired. I remind my students of the importance of self-discipline which involves consistency. Consistent work leads to consistent progress and the attainment of one’s goals.
