Motivational Quote
Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game. -Babe Ruth
Babe Ruth was an American professional baseball player who played in Major League Baseball for 22 seasons, from 1914 to 1935. He was one of the most famous baseball players of all time. He began his career as a left-handed pitcher for the Boston Red Sox and went on to play as an outfielder for the New York Yankees. He also played for the Boston Braves. Babe Ruth held career records in baseball for home runs (714- since broken), slugging percentage (0.690), runs batted in (2,213-since broken), bases on balls (2,062-since broken), and on-base plus slugging (1.164). His quote reminds us that the fear of striking out should not keep you from playing the game. It reminds people of the need to take chances in life. As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the need to pursue their dreams. In order to achieve their dreams, I remind my students of the importance of overcoming their fears in order to pursue their dreams. You cannot score a home run if you are too afraid to play. Do not let fear hold you back.
