In life, we need to work to see the good in every situation. Life does not always go as planned. However, we need to see the positive side of every event in life. Sometimes difficult times bring out strength we did not know we had. Sometimes failure shows us where we need to improve ourselves. Sometimes dark times show us who our true friends are. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I meet many students in my ASVAB prep course, who have become discouraged by their previous failures on the ASVAB. Instead of becoming discouraged, they need to focus on the steps they need to take to turn their situation around. They need to learn that they have the power to change their future by taking the necessary steps to reach their goal of enlisting in the military.
