In life, many people talk of the dreams they have, but they do not realize the work that goes into turning those dreams into a reality. People tend to look at others and envy their achievements. In the midst of the envy, people do not know about the struggles, the failures, the setbacks, and the hard work that came before their achievements. When we look at others, we only see their result. When we look at ourselves, we see the struggles we have been through. Never forget the work that goes into making your dreams come to pass. As an ASVAB tutor, I meet many students who think that success came easily to others. They are disappointed over how much they need to study for the test and assume that everyone else achieved the ASVAB score they wanted without any effort. People need to remember that comparison is the thief of joy. Just compare yourself to who you were yesterday and work hard for a better tomorrow.
