What is the probability of landing on an even number when rolling a die?

In working as an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students that probability is one of the subtopics that can appear on the Arithmetic Reasoning section of the ASVAB.  Probability is a branch of mathematics that deals with the occurrence of a random event.  Examples of probabilities questions could deal with the probability of flipping a coin and landing on heads, probability of picking a certain card from a deck, probability of picking a certain marble from a bag, or the probability of landing on a certain number when rolling a die.  The answers in probability questions are usually written as fractions.  Sometimes the answers are written in decimal form.  Do you know how to find the probability of landing on an even number when rolling a die?  I will post the answer and explanation tomorrow.
