The ASVAB Tutor Presents Question on Area of Parallelograms

What is the measure of the base of a parallelogram is the area is 30 and the height is 3?
As an ASVAB tutor, I emphasize the importance of reviewing geometry for the Mathematics Knowledge section of the ASVAB.  The students in my ASVAB prep course are reminded to study the formulas for area, circumference, surface area and volume of various shapes.  I remind my students of the need to learn the area of a parallelogram.  The parallelogram is one of the many shapes that I review the area of in my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Mathematics Knowledge Study Guide.  Do you know the formula for the area of a parallelogram?  I will present the answer and explanation tomorrow.
