As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students to review prefixes, root words, and suffixes. Latin and Greek roots are the most common roots that appear in the English language. I remind my students to focus more heavily on their review of prefixes and root words than suffixes. However, knowing suffixes can also help expand knowledge of vocabulary words. -Logy is one of the suffixes that I have included in my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide.
