As an ASVAB tutor, I place a strong emphasis on teaching math in my ASVAB prep course. There are two different math sections on the ASVAB: Arithmetic Reasoning and Mathematics Knowledge. These two sections have different types of problems. I wrote study guides that consist of 15 subtopics for Arithmetic Reasoning and 15 subtopics for Mathematics Knowledge. Certain topics in math will appear on the Arithmetic Reasoning section while other topics will appear on the Mathematics Knowledge section. It is important to know the difference between the two sections before taking the ASVAB.
