True or False Question
Latin and Greek are very similar languages.
Latin and Greek are two languages that originated in Europe. They are both ancient languages. Are those facts enough to consider the two languages to be similar languages? In working as an ASVAB tutor, I always remind my students of the importance of studying both Latin and Greek root words to improve their vocabulary skills for the Word Knowledge section of the ASVAB. In my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide, I included several pages of charts of prefixes, root words, and suffixes. These charts include Latin and Greek prefixes, roots, and suffixes. Do you think that Latin and Greek are similar languages? I will present the answer and explanation tomorrow.
