As an ASVAB tutor, I meet people who are pursuing their dream of serving in the military. Sometimes people get overly concerned with the concept of how long it will take them to prepare for the ASVAB. Sometimes I meet people who have already failed the test 3 times and need to wait 6 months to retest. They call me up for tutoring and are already discouraged. Some of my students dwell on the fact that they need to wait 6 months to retest. They feel they are wasting time. I remind them that the 6 months will pass anyway, and they might as well keep working toward their goals. I remind students to hold onto their dreams and to not shy away from the work involved to help them the achieve the ASVAB score they desire.
