In life, you never know who you might be able to influence. Work to be a positive person. You never know who is watching. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I strive be an influence in my students’ lives. I remind them of the importance of determination, motivation, discipline, and consistency. I let them know that I believe the tough times in life make us stronger as long as we choose to not give up. I tell stories of other students who overcame great adversities to achieve their goal of serving our nation as part of the U.S. military and work to inspire them with these stories. I am proud to see my ASVAB students go on to influence our nation and our world as our nation’s heroes.
