As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of working on themselves in order to make a difference in the world. Too often, we worry about others changing. We hope for our situations to change. We hope for those around us to change. We need to realize that the only thing we can change is ourselves. Each of us as individuals can only change one person and that is our own self. Stop waiting for things to change around you. Take the initiative. Change yourself and all else will fall into place.
