What does the Greek root word “geo” mean?

In addition to working to help people with their ASVAB math scores, I see the importance of focusing on ASVAB vocabulary in my ASVAB prep course.  When I tutor people for the ASVAB, I remind that that Latin and Green root words play an important role in boosting ones vocabulary.

Do you know what “geo” means?

There are a number of word with the Greek root geo including:

geographic, geometry, geophysics, geothermal, geocentric, geology.
