The ASVAB Tutor Presents Author’s Purpose
As an ASVAB tutor, I see the significance in reviewing the different types of questions that appear on the Paragraph Comprehension section of the ASVAB in my ASVAB prep course. In addition to helping improve my students’ ASVAB math scores, I focus on vocabulary and reading comprehension as well. Author’s purpose is one of these types of questions. The author’s purpose is the reason the author wrote the piece. You need to ask yourself what the author’s primary goal was in writing the piece. Today’s question asks what the author’s purpose was in writing a poem about the sunset? Do you know what the author’s purpose would be in writing poetry about the sunset? The answer will be shared tomorrow.
