Yesterday I presented a question on fractions.
Do you know how to find the reciprocal of a fraction? What is the reciprocal of 5/3?
As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of studying fractions to prepare for the ASVAB. I wrote a book entitled, The ASVAB Tutor’s Arithmetic Reasoning Study Guide which consists of 15 subtopics for Arithmetic Reasoning. One of the 15 subtopic is fractions. Finding the reciprocal of a fraction or a whole number is an important part of being able to work with fractions. In order to find the reciprocal of a fraction, it is necessary to flip the fraction over. The reciprocal of 5/3 is 3/5.
