Word Knowledge
Yesterday I presented an ASVAB vocabulary question.
What does the word “savory” mean?
As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of studying ASVAB vocabulary words to prepare for the Word Knowledge section of the test. Yesterday I asked what “savory” means. Savory does not have a prefix, root word, or suffix. The word savory is an adjective. The verb form of the word is savor. Either you know the word, or you do not. In my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Word Knowledge and Paragraph Comprehension Study Guide, I presented the word “savory” in 2 sentences in my book. The first sentence was: Thanksgiving dinner will all its special dishes is a savory mean. The second sentence was: Pardon me for talking while I am eating, but I am just enjoying this savory salmon dinner, and boy, is it delicious! I present the second sentence in video form where my cat, Mr. Cuddles, presents the sentence in a video. Savory means tasty. Did you know the answer?
