Arithmetic Reasoning
In my book entitled, The ASVAB Tutor’s Arithmetic Reasoning Study Guide, I cover 15 topics. One of them is measurement. I remind the students I tutor for the ASVAB of the importance of knowing the conversions for measurements including length, weight, and liquid measurements. Metric measurement is an important type of measurement that can also appear on the ASVAB.
Yesterday’s question asked how many centimeters there are in 5 meters. Do you know how many centimeters are in a meter? The Latin root centi- means hundred. There are 100 centimeters in a meter. If there are 100 centimeters in a meter, that means there are 500 centimeters in 5 meters. Did you answer it correctly?
