Volume

Yesterday I presented a volume question.

What is the volume of a rectangular box if the length is 4, the width is 5, and the height is 8?

In working as an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of knowing the necessary formulas for the Mathematics Knowledge section of the ASVAB.  To answer this question, it is essential to know the formula for the volume of a rectangular box.

It is a simple formula.  Once you know the formula, it is an easy example to solve.
The volume of a rectangular box is V = L x W x H

Volume = length x width x height

In this case, the length is 4

The width is 5

The height is 6

V = L x W X H

V = 4 x 5 x 8

V = 160

In this case, the volume is 160.

The answer is 160

Did you know the formula for the volume of a rectangular box?
