If you want to succeed, focus on changing yourself, not others.
In life, we spend too much time focusing on others. What others are doing, what others are achieving, what others think of us. In life, we need to learn that we are only capable of changing ourselves. When we change ourselves, things around us begin to change. As an ASVAB tutor, I see the effect of people working to change themselves. When I have students who focus on improving their ASVAB scores in seeking help with ASVAB math and ASVAB vocabulary, I see the improvements happen. When people look to others and make comparisons, they limit themselves. In teaching my ASVAB prep course, I remind my students to focus on how far they have come and how far they plan to come. Focus on improving themselves and move forward from there.
