Today’s inspirational quote reminds us that even though we learn things in our youth, it takes the wisdom that comes with age to truly understand. This is the difference between knowledge and wisdom. As an ASVAB tutor, I see this with a number of students that I tutor. Knowledge does not equal understanding. I present my students with the concept that studying for the exam outside of class time is essential. I know they hear what I say, but many do not value its importance. They might hear but they do not understand the ramifications of not putting enough effort into studying. Sometimes I wish that understanding came before the failure that makes people realize the errors of their ways
