As an ASVAB tutor, I realize that an important part of preparing my students for the Paragraph Comprehension section of the ASVAB is discussing the various types of questions that can appear on this section. In my ASVAB prep course, I talk about the types of comprehension questions that can occur on the test. I remind students of the importance of receiving help for ASVAB math, vocabulary, and reading comprehension. Some types include: main idea, detail, sequence, cause and effect, inference, author’s tone, author’s purpose, etc.
