The lion is called the king of the jungle. The lion does not waste his time worrying about what others think of him. He is the lion and will always be regardless of what anyone thinks of him. This reminds me of a quote from Winston Churchill.
Churchill said, “When you are 20, you worry about what everyone thinks of you. When you are 40, you stop worrying about what everyone thinks of you. When you are 60, you realize no one was thinking of you in the first place.”
As an ASVAB tutor, I tell my students this quote. I know they don’t have the life experience to grasp its full meaning, but it is important to know that we spend too much time worrying about what others think of us. Remember that the people who mind don’t matter, and the people who matter don’t mind. Be yourself just like the lion, and let the sheep think what they will.
