As an ASVAB tutor, I remind people of the importance of the social circles people travel in.
When we surround ourselves with negative people, we are held back from our true potential. When we surround ourselves with positive people, we are encourage to aim higher. I have witnessed this occur in the friendships that form among my students in my ASVAB prep course. I have seen students who needed help with their ASVAB math scores, vocabulary scores, and reading comprehension scores.. Over the years, I have seen some people pair up to study. When each one was motivated, the studying paid off. The 2 members of the pair encouraged each other and pushed each other to aim higher. When the pair was less than motivated, they did not use their time wisely to study the material. Pay attention to who you make friends with because it determines who you will become.
