Today I am presenting the solution to yesterday’s Arithmetic Reasoning problem about adding fractions. So many students in my ASVAB prep course mention their frustration with questions about pieces of wood. I jokingly call them the Home Depot questions. Fractions is one of the 15 subtopics for Arithmetic Reasoning that I cover in my ASVAB prep course. I remind my students that knowing fractions is essential to mastering the math sections on this exam. Being able to add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions will help to improve one’s ASVAB math score. Anyone who tutors for the ASVAB will agree with the importance of mastering fractions to receive a solid score on this test.
