In life, we spend too much time trying to impress others. We need to seek to impress ourselves. Make yourself proud. Do not worry about the opinion of others. Too often we concern ourselves with what others think. The truth is that those who matter don’t mind and those who mind don’t matter. As an ASVAB tutor, I meet many students who often become too concerned with what others think. Many are concerned with approval from their family, friends, and significant others on whether or not they should join the military. I remind them of the importance of their own desires and their own goals in life. I remind my students to live their lives to impress themselves and reap the rewards from doing so.
