Socrates presented a profound quote. In life, we must not spend out energy on fighting the old. Instead, we need to put our effort into creating the new. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I meet students who focus on how difficult math or vocabulary was for them when they were growing up. They look back on the old and feel stuck there. Before they begin, they feel destined to fail. Instead of looking back, they need to look ahead to how they will overcome the challenges that held them back. By seeking help with ASVAB math or vocabulary, they are able to realize that change is possible. I would like to remind everyone not to feel stuck or remain stuck in the old mindset that you cannot achieve your goals because of your performance in the past. Focus on the present, and build your future.
