I feel that the opportunity to work as an ASVAB tutor is a privilege. I meet countless young people with the desire to serve our country. In teaching an ASVAB
prep course, I work to help improve my students’ ASVAB math and verbal scores. In doing so, I have the great opportunity to watch civilians prepare to
become proud military men and women. G.K. Chesterton presents a powerful quote, “The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him but
because he loves what is behind him.” The desire to fight in war is not driven by hatred. Instead it is driven by the love of one’s country, one’s family, one’s friend
and one’s freedom.
