In life, we hope for things to always go our way. Life does not always go as planned. Sometimes we need to realize that the struggles we face are what make us stronger. Today’s quote reminds us that sailors do not become skilled from a calm sea. In working as an ASVAB tutor, I meet young people who often do not understand the strength that comes from life’s struggles. Strength comes from overcoming adversity and trials in life. Even the toughest situations can have the positive aspect of strengthening us as individuals.
