Mathematics Knowledge Question 
My role of ASVAB tutor involves a great deal of instruction in math. The ASVAB has two math sections: Arithmetic Reasoning and Mathematics Knowledge. Today I present a question on Mathematics Knowledge. Mathematics Knowledge mostly consists of topics in algebra and geometry.
Today’s question is a geometry question.
The question is about finding the y-intercept of a line.
Lines have a slope and y-intercept. The slope shows how steep the line is. The y-intercept shows where the line crosses the y-axis.
The question is:
What is the y-intercept of the line, y = 2x + 4

- -2
- 4
- -4
Do you know how to figure out the y-intercept from this equation of a line? The slope and y-intercept can be determined from the equation of line. I will present the answer and explanation in two days.
