Mathematics Knowledge

Knowing the different shapes in geometry is important in reviewing for the Mathematics Knowledge section of the ASVAB.  In working as an ASVAB tutor, I review the different shapes and the formulas for those shapes.  Different shapes that can appear on the ASVAB include circles, triangles, squares, rectangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, etc.

Today I present a Mathematics Knowledge question.

This question is a geometry question that ask about parallelograms.

The question is:

Which is not a parallelogram?

A. Square

B. Rectangle

C. Trapezoid

D. Rhombus

To answer this question, you need to know the characteristics of a parallelogram.

Do you know the features of a parallelogram?

A parallelogram is a four-sided shape with certain features.

The four choices all have four sides.  Do you know the answer?

I will present the answer and explanation tomorrow.
