Mathematics Knowledge Answer
In my book, The ASVAB Tutor’s Mathematics Knowledge Study Guide, I focus on the importance of the formulas that could appear on the Mathematics Knowledge section of the ASVAB. Geometry is an important topic on this section. I remind my ASVAB prep students of the importance of knowing the formulas for circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, trapezoids, cylinders, sphere, cubes, and rectangular boxes.
Yesterday I presented a Mathematics Knowledge question.
The question is a geometry question about circles.
The question is:
If the radius of a circle is 15, what is the diameter?
- 5
- 30
- 60
- 120
The radius is half the diameter.
If the radius is 15, the diameter is 30.
The correct answer is Choice B. 30.
