Here is the solution to yesterday’s Mathematics Knowledge problem. It is an algebra example that involves simplification by combining like terms. As someone who tutors for the ASVAB, I see the importance of working on Mathematics Knowledge. I tell the students in my ASVAB prep course that the section of the ASVAB that is the easiest to improve upon in the Mathematics Knowledge section. When people know the math formulas and algebra, their Mathematics Knowledge score will improve. Knowing all the necessary formulas for geometry and being able to work with algebra will definitely help to improve one’s ASVAB math score.
