Main Idea Answer
In working as an ASVAB tutor, I review the different types of questions that appear on the Paragraph Comprehension questions of the ASVAB. One type of Paragraph Comprehension question is a main idea question.
Yesterday I presented a question on Paragraph Comprehension.
This question asks about examples of main idea questions.
Which of the following is NOT an example of a main idea question?
- What is the main idea of the story?
- What was the final outcome of the story?
- What would be a good title for the story?
- What is the story mostly about?
Three of these questions are main idea questions and one is not.
The one that is not a main idea question is Choice B. What was the final outcome of the story?
The ending of the story is not the main idea.
