Today’s quote is from world-renowned motivational speaker Les Brown. He views our potential in life as limitless. The only limits are the ones we place on ourselves. Our own fears and insecurities set the limits in our lives. To overcome these limits, we must live with a growth mindset. When we overcome the limits that our minds put on us, we can reach all new heights. As an ASVAB tutor, I meet many students who start class with a spirit of discouragement. Some tell me they never fully understood math. Some tell me they don’t enjoy reading and have a poor vocabulary. Some have failed the ASVAB before and fear failing the exam again. I remind my students not to focus on the past. The only thing that matters is if they are willing to put the necessary work into passing the exam. A history of poor math and verbal skills should only drive them to work that much harder. Do not limit yourself, and you can live up to your true potential.
