Many people underestimate the power of persistence. It is the persistence of a river that cuts through rock. It is the persistence of the waves, the wash away the shoreline. It is the persistent accumulation that causes glaciers to exist. Why should our achievements be any different? As an ASVAB tutor, I discourage my students from studying by cramming the night before the ASVAB exam. The ASVAB is not the type of exam for which to cram. Instead, it is important to be consistent and persistent and to tackle the exam one step at a time. Consistency is key in life. To make achievements in life, we need to set our sight on our goals and persist until they are achieved.
