Focus on the outcome, we focus on the necessary steps to achieve our goals. Keeping our eyes fixed on the end goal helps us to build our level of commitment, motivation, self-discipline, and drive. As an ASVAB tutor, I remind my students of the importance of committing to their goals. Group tutoring provides me the opportunity to show students other examples of successes within the group. When people see the success of others, it gives them the courage to believe in themselves. It shows them that hard work pays off. It encourages them to focus on the endpoint of their work, the ability to enlist in the U.S. military.
