Too often in life, people have goals that they fall short of achieving. There are many reasons for this. Perhaps discouragement, lack of motivation, failure, comparison to others, the list goes on. As an ASVAB tutor, I meet many people who give up on themselves too soon. People have a goal of enlisting in the military. When some of them find the test is hard, they give up. When some of them fall short of their desired score, they give up. When some of their friends pass the test before they do, they give up. I remind them to never give up on themselves and to make themselves proud. I remind them that their future selves will thank them.
