As one who tutors for the ASVAB, I work to provide the students in my ASVAB prep course with help for ASVAB math and vocabulary. In addition to focusing on the academics, I work to provide my students with inspiration. This quote is an example of the type of inspiring quotes I like to present to my students. “The same boiling water that softens the potato hardens the egg. It’s not what you’re made of. Not the circumstances.” – Unknown. Life is not always what we expect it to be. We need to work to overcome our circumstances. We need to be more like the egg than the potato. We need to become harder in the midst of adversity.
